Missing Teen, Teacher Found in Las Vegas I (May 2, 2002) In a story that got a lot of coverage, Tonya Hadden (38) and Richard Pena (age 15) were reported missing and eventually found in Las Vegas. She was a science teacher.
Noteworthy was that this Channel 8 news site also had an article by " reporter Andrea Bond about "Adult-Teen Sex Relations Under Scrutiny . (May ?) Ex: "For years, people have shied away from talking about adult-child sex, but now some experts are rethinking their views on the topic." and ""With adults and children having sex, we see about 70 cases a month," said Jeff Carlson of Metro Police. "That's quite a bit, and it's been fairly steady in that number for the past several years.The teacher later cited a failure of "impulse control" in leaving San Bernardino with the boy on a three-day escapade in a San Diego Union Tribune story.
