Dover, NH teacher charged with student sex assault --- May 1, 2002
Jon E. Gordon, 60, a 17-year veteran of the school, was arraigned on the Class A misdemeanor. Gordon had been suspended for two days in 1993 for a sexual harassment complaint and had resigned from Traip in Kittery, Maine, (in 1981) after having a relationship with a student. "Armand LaSelva, Superintendent of Schools in Dover, said a “normal” background check would have been done when Gordon was hired in 1985."
