"Schoolteacher pleads innocent in sex case" .(May 11, 2002) - A Riverside elementary-school teacher remained in Los Angeles County Jail on Friday after pleading innocent to charges that he molested a boy in West Covina in the 1990s. West Covina police issued an arrest warrant for Paul Edward Lowe, 42, of Corona after a 21-year-old man said Lowe molested him when he was 9 and continued to molest him until he was 15. He had been Teacher of the Year in 1992. Lowe lived on the same West Covina street as the man who alleges he was molested, police said. Lopez declined to specify the relationship between the two.
